On November 11th, 2022, Paul L. Jarrett passed away unexpectedly or as unexpectedly as a 93 year old can pass. Paul is survived by his son Keith, sister Marta, grandchildren Sean, Amber, Velvet, Chelsea, Steve, Brandon, and 7 great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie, daughter Vicki, daughter Marilyn, and son Steve.
Paul was born on April 28th, 1929, in Burlington, Colorado to Grant and Frances Jarrett. He began driving John Deere tractors on his family’s farm at the age of 4, or so he said. Paul graduated high school from Kanorado, Kansas and stayed on the farm until he was 21 then thought joining the United States Air Force was a good idea. Paul called his dad a few weeks later asking to come back to the farm. His dad told him, ‘No, once you’ve made a decision, you need to stick with it.’ Paul said it was some of the best advice he ever received. Paul walked Jackie down the aisle in 1952, and she traveled with him for over 20 years in the Air Force being stationed in Montana, Arizona, Washington, Kansas, New York, the Marshall Islands and Germany. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant.
Paul and Jackie moved their family to Colorado, and within the next month he had Bronco season tickets and began his next career in mortgage banking. He diligently worked for 21 years before once again retiring, as a branch manager for one of the top loan producing offices in Colorado.
Paul was a devoted husband to Jackie for 61 years and was hourly by her hospital bed for the last 7 of them. He was a loving father. Paul was an exceptionally supportive grandfather. He was a loyal friend to many and loved his; golf, Rockies, bowling, senior center, Nuggets, pinochle, silver sneakers, and anything he could sign up for, he would be there.
Paul was a Wishbone enthusiast for 64 years, loyal Broncos ticket holder for 51 years, and an immeasurable influence on countless people for many years to come.
Services for Paul will be held on Monday, November 21st, 2022 beginning at 10:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
