Paul was born on August 15, 1931, in Washington, Iowa as the son of Paul Kylander Brock and Hazel Belle Hesseltine Brock and passed on February 13, 2023, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi at the age of 91.
He went to school in Washington, Iowa where he spent his childhood.
In high school Paul played football, basketball, baseball, swimming and ran track in Washington, Iowa. One of the highlights of his young life was being invited to run in the Drake Relays.
After high school, Paul moved to Denver, Colorado where he and wife Carol raised three daughters. The family became involved with horses, and he loved watching his three daughters ride and compete in their horse shows.
Paul worked for Mountain Bell in Denver Colorado during the 60s and 70s after which the family moved to Miles City, Montana where he would manage the Sporting Goods store. Paul then moved the family to Bozeman Montana where he owned and managed Brock Trophies for over 10 years. Paul and Carol later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where he had many other ventures.
After his wife Carol’s passing, Paul lived for a short period of time in his hometown of Washington, Iowa. He reconnected with a high school classmate, Shirley Blattner, and they were married on February 11, 1998. They made their home in Sedalia and Denver until later moving to Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Paul and Shirley enjoyed many wonderful years in Ocean Springs where they loved their nights out at the buffets and casinos, as well as other activities in the Gulf region.
Paul had the opportunity of a lifetime to accompany Shirley and her singing group to Rome Italy, a trip he loved to talk about.
Paul loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Debbie and Cheri; sons-in law Kyle, Todd, and Barry; as well as stepdaughters Peggy and Sue; grandchildren: Brandon (Amanda), Breann (Albert) Ryan and Hunter; great-grandchildren: Brock, Bennett, Presley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family in younger years. He also loved to build and enjoyed figuring out how to fix things. One of his favorite places to be was “his shop.”
Those of us in the family will always remember the “PRB way.” He taught many of us how to build and fix things and always said “measure twice, no measure three times, cut once” so that became known as the “PRB way.”
Paul loved the Denver Broncos and later became a fan of the New Orleans Saints during his years in Mississippi.
Paul had many titles in life including Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.
