Nikki is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Bill Jones, daughter Juli (Scott) Close, son Mike (Becki) Jones and four grandchildren - Kaedren and Makayla Close and Maci and Blake Jones.
Nikki graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1961 where she was class officer, cheerleader, and Prom Queen. Nikki then graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1965 with a degree in Education.
Nikki taught elementary children and children with special needs for almost 20 years within Jefferson County. Teaching was not just a job for Nikki, it was a calling.
Nikki Jinacio married Bill Jones August 17th, 1968. The two enjoyed traveling to Mexico, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Utah, California, Florida, Wyoming, and countless other weekend adventures in the Colorado mountains.
Nikki loved spending time with her Aunties and family. She also gave of herself by preparing meals or doing anything to help those in need. She taught religious education within St. Jude. She had a servant’s heart and never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special moment in someone’s life.
Nikki was a loving mother to Juli and Michael. She was a full-time teacher, a devoted spouse and still excelled at being the best mother possible. She did all three jobs like each one was her only full-time job. She was a woman ahead of her time.
She cherished her four grandchildren. They brought joy and happiness and gave her strength to shine as an amazing Nona. The love of her grandchildren always put a smile on her face and in her heart.
Nikki had a strength unmatched by others. She did not complain or impose on others for her personal needs. Nikki endured and persevered through more challenges than any one of God’s children should be asked to do. She was a pillar of strength and she will be missed by all those who came to know and love her. As her family, we all hope to carry on her legacy of love, compassion, and strength.
We Love You Nikki!
