Mona "Nana" Hecht

Mona "Nana" Hecht, age 72, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Ramona Lee Hecht aka Mona/Nana- lived life to the fullest. She was always a pillar of strength and a woman of great faith. She was one of five kids of Wanetta Broyles and stepdaughter of Oliver J Bender. She had three sisters and one brother. She was the youngest of the five siblings. Mona is survived in life by her sisters Irene Rae and Rose Greenough. In the last few years her brother William (Bill) Clark and her Sister Sandra Clark passed before her. Mona is the wife of Danny L Hecht Sr. for a greater part of 53 years. She was, in his words, his rock and best friend. They shared all the hardships and tribulations as a team and never wavered, they were sole mates. Mona is mother of five boys, and one daughter that she was blessed with out of love. Mona had two sons precede her in their everlasting journey of continuous life. Robert A. Hecht and Anthony E. Hecht. Losing her sons was very hard on her. Mona, being the matriarch of our family, carried not only the heavy burden of their lost, but also putting her faith in our lord and savior on trial. As time passed, she became stronger in her faith, and more positive in her belief that there is life for us all in His kingdom. Mona’s surviving children are Danny Hecht Jr., Wayne Hecht, Leroy Mervin, and Michelle Cox. Mona was blessed with 19 grand kids, and 12 great grand kids. Mona was known as Nana to all of them and would do anything for her grand babies. She was always a safe place for them to go to, worry free of any judgement and or tattle telling. If they told Nana it was a secret you could bet it never reached their parents, and Nana would do everything she could do to help them solve whatever the issue was. Mona/Nana was loved by so many great friends. She never turned away someone in need of help.

She will be missed so much by so many. Know in her last days she was full of love and peace to be joining her savior and family members that went before her.

A memorial service for Mona/Nana will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cem, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
