After graduating from Wheat Ridge High School, Mike joined the U S Army and served in Viet Nam. He was a talented welder and metal fabricator, working primarily for the Road and Bridge Department of Jefferson County.
Mike loved rollercoasters, bungee jumps, skydiving and other thrilling adventures. During his lifetime, he visited all 50 states and never lost his enthusiasm for a road trip. Although his roommates were cats (Yoda and Ebony), Mike never left the house without dog treats in his pocket – he was known and loved by every dog he met. During his retirement, Mike pursued several hobbies, including skeet shooting, whittling, playing guitar, and rockin’ out to the oldies, especially the Stones and the Grateful Dead.
Mike was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his long-time companion, Jody Georgeson; his son, Matt Boley and his wife Heather; by his granddaughters, Tegain Marie (Hannelorie) Boley, Sabrina Widener and Brittany Widener; by his great-granddaughter, Violet Widener; by his sisters, Ann Todd and Carol Germano; and by his brother, Chuck Boley.
