She was married to Ivan Baker in 1946 and together they shared almost 50 years of marriage before Ivan passed away in 1996. They had five children; David, Bruce, Bonnie, Darryl and John Wesley. She is survived by four of her five children along with many grand and great grandchildren.
She spent her days looking after her family, they were everything to her. She loved all of her children and grandchildren. She really loved cooking for her loved ones who even today talk about Grandma's cooking!
Maxine was a prolific quilt maker. She made quilts for babies at Children's Hospital and for the Veteran's Administration for the Wounded Soldiers. She had a caring heart and loved to give. She also enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and spent hours every day doing those.
Maxine had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was so mischievous and brought a smile to everyone around her. She loved to tease her family, but was tickled pink when they gave as good as they got!
She read her Bible every day and was strong in faith and loved Jesus with all her heart. She was so looking forward to being with Him.
Maxine, Mother, Grandma, and Great-Grandma! She was really the heart of the family. We will miss her so much, but are so blessed to know that she is now with Jesus and rejoicing in Heaven.
