Matthew Ferdinand Boden was born July 24, 1962 in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in Lakewood, CO and attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School prior to graduating from Regis Jesuit High School. He then went on to Loretta Heights College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre.
Matthew started his acting career as Toto in the Wizard of Oz at Bonfils Theater in 1975. Once he got the theater bug, it never left him. Throughout his career he managed box offices and worked in theaters from coast to coast. He worked with The Florida Orchestra in Tampa Florida and the La Jolla Playhouse and the Spreckles Theater in California. He performed at the Grand Lake Theater, the Country Dinner Playhouse and Arvada Center Theater Company.
Matthew’s most recent and final career was with Dish Network as both a coach and an event coordinator for corporate events. Event Coordinator was what he was most passionate about between the planning and the hosting. One of his favorite past times was the piano, which he enjoyed most of his lifetime.
Matthew is survived by his mother Joyce Boden of Lakewood, CO, brother Mike Boden (Daisy) of Lakewood, CO, sister Melissa Zimmermann (Roy) of Billings, MT, nieces and nephews, Nick Boden, Isabella Boden, Jessica Bulluck (James), Andrew Zimmermann, and Veronica Zimmermann, and his two great nieces, Alivia and Evelyn Bulluck. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Boden.
Matthew will always be remembered for the laughter he created. He was the funniest one in the room and was always performing. He left us too soon and was loved by so many.
