Martha Evelyn Theurer was born in Dallas, TX on November 22, 1942. She spent her first years in Texas until she and her parents moved to Englewood, Colorado. She attended Englewood High School and graduated in 1961. She worked as a business manager for several companies, most recently for Jim DeSena of DeSena and Associates. She married Russell Theurer in 1986 in a small church in Colorado and they enjoyed traveling, golfing and socializing with their friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and her stepson and his wife, Mark and Lyndel Theurer of Oklahoma. She is survived by her children, Norman Dean (Jana) Carr and Cheryl Smith, her stepchildren Terrie Theurer of Englewood, Steve (Kathy) Theurer of Westminster, and Kim (Jim) Greenzweig of Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren Scott, Jessica, Gage, Cole, Tianna, Jason, Ben, Tammy, Katie, Brandon and Corey and her great grandchildren Sophia, Grace and Zane. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends who she loved dearly. She was an avid golfer and a member of Pinehurst Country Club for many years. She acquired a love for camping and the mountains of Colorado from her parents and continued to do that her entire life. She will be missed by all but especially her grandkids who knew her as “Colonel Grandma” and “Grammy”
