Margaret Florence Mitchell

Margaret graduated from South High School, Class of 1945. She married William R. Mitchell on May 4, 1968. They celebrated 48 years of marriage before William passed away in 2016.

Margaret was involved in the women’s arm of the Shriner’s, supporting William’s involvement in the organization for many years. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed hosting holidays with her family in her home. Margaret and William loved traveling and enjoyed their time in Mexico, the Panama Canal, and Hawaii among other locations. They also took many cruises, which they also loved to do. Margaret was an avid bowler and golfer for many years.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Mitchell, her father, Lawrence Clark Nowlen, her mother, Margaret Lucille (Place) Nowlen, her brother, Lawrence Clark Nowlen, her sister Patricia Ann (Nowlen) Archer, and step-daughter Deborah Jean (Mitchell) McMahon. She is survived by brother John Albert Nowlen of Aurora, CO, son David John Dean (Marie) of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Catherine Ann Lund (John) of Fort Collins, CO, step-daughter Christine Ann (Mitchell) Casillas of Valencia, CA, and step-son William Ralph Mitchell, Jr. of Longmont, CO, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends and family who miss her dearly.

Margaret’s funeral will be held on Monday, October, 19, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Olinger Mortuary at 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge.
