Madolyn Estell Sherman, 91, of Lakewood, Colorado, was surrounded by family when she went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday December 21, 2022. She was born on December 18, 1931 the daughter of Clifton & Helen Webb of Denver, Colorado. Madolyn graduated from West High School the class of 1949. During her time at West High School she was found participating in various clubs, attending sporting events and cheerleading. She also found the love of her life Myron Sherman. Madolyn and Myron married shortly after High School and within this union they were blessed with three children Ron, Janice and Robert. This was a true love story as they were married for 68 years. During this time she was a homemaker who loved reading her Bible, baking, sewing and crocheting. She loved spending her time with her family going fishing, camping, and watching the Colorado Rockies. She was an avid Broncos fan attending games for several years. She loved the beauty of the Universe, stargazing and teaching about the planets which she passed on to her children and grandchildren.
Madolyn is survived by her sister Marjorie Milne, her son Ron L. Sherman (Peggy), daughter Janice M. Vigil (Lee) and son Robert S. Sherman (Cindy). Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Clifton and Helen Webb, husband Myron L. Sherman of 68 years and her twin sister, Margaret Stiger. Madolyn will always be remembered for her devotion to the Lord and her family. She was a true inspiration that led many to the Lord, by definition of a “Faithful Servant”, who led by example. Matthew 25:21.
A funeral service for Madolyn will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 2100 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80214. Following the funeral service there will be a committal service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236.
