Louise chose a perfect day, a day of beautiful blue sky, fluffy white clouds and warm Colorado sunshine. September 3, 2012 .... The day Louise began the final stage of her life. Louise always loved early mornings, this day shortly before 7
AM she departed this life and exchanged it for eternity.
Unlike the beautiful day, Louise's life wasn t always easy and beautiful, born November 5, 1913. Growing up on the Wyoming plains of Medicine Bow she experienced the harsh life of dry land farming, as an only child she grew into an independent and often lonely young woman.
There were few gatherings of the Cheesebrough family yet Louise knew all of the family, their history and their stories. She spent hours and hours at the knee of Emma, her grandmother.
Emma lived with Louise and her mother on Wyandot street were she taught Louise how to cook and sew and clean. Emma and Louise shared a bedroom they were constant companions. Louise attended North High School and Barnes School
of Commerce where she met the love of her life, Norman Lawson.
Norman and Louise were engaged for 8 years and on their wedding day Norman fell out of the car of the way to the reception, he was not hurt. David was born in 1939, Carol in 1942 and Ralph in 1947. Together we enjoyed camping and fishing , Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and family times.
Louise was an excellent seamstress, making clothing, quilts, draperies, and curtains. She excelled in the kitchen. Her family was her focus in life. A woman of deep personal commitment. A woman of integrity and devotion. A woman who will
be missed be each of us. A woman who will forever be my confident and friend.
Louise is survived by her three children; David and Ralph Lawson, and Carol Dunne Benson. Grandmother to Ken Lawson, and Jennifer Johnson, J.D. Dunne, Kristine Castro, Cindi Tyler, Mathew, Adam, and Jessica Lawson. Great Grandmother to Cole, Abigail, Jonah, Eli, Ben, John, Andrew, Brittany, Cameron, and Connor. Great Great Grandmother to Matty.
