Lois June Head

Lois June Head was born June 15, 1929 in Denver, Colorado to Hugh Marco Mckenzie and Florence Francis Neil. She was the youngest of 15 children. She attended East High School and graduated in 1947.

On August 14, 1948 she married Kenneth Head. And they were married 66 years until our father’s death.

Lois had a radiant warm smile welcomed so many people into her warm world. Whether is was her neighbor’s, church friends, and her pinochle ladies group. Lois’s main pride was her family, in which she recalled putting on thoughtful celebrations., cheering on her grandchildren in many sports activities and countless stories that will be forever shared.

Lois is survived by her two children: Don Head (Anne) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Karen Workman (Mark) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Daniel Head (KC), Jaclyn Angotti, Rachael Maten (Alek), Matthew Workman, Sarah Head (Romeo Wong Henderson), Andrew Workman. 3 great-grandchildren: Wesley, Brooke, and Emmett.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her daughter Cheryl Ann, and her many McKenzie siblings.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14th, at 1:30PM. It will be located at Brentwood United Methodist Church, 1899 S Irving St, Denver, CO 80219. A reception will follow the service inside the church.
