Leona Helen (Eichele) Shambaugh

Preceded in death by her husband Lloyd C. Shambaugh of 65 years, son-in-law Neal Thomas, brother Everett Eichele, sisters, Vera Bauer and Anita Beard, parents Otto and Martha Eichele. Survived by daughters Nancy Thomas and Donna Lee (George) of Lakewood, CO and grandchildren, Sherry Church (Dwight), Terri Moore (Rob), David Lee (Cheryl), and Don Lee (Brenda), great grandchildren: Jeremy Church, Joey Church, Andrew Moore, Brandon Moore (Kaitlin),Jason Lee, Jenna Lee, Henry Lee, Casey Lee and 3 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Leona and Lloyd were married in Quartzite, AZ on April 6, 1941 then they lived in Los Angeles CA until 1942 when they moved back to Holyoke, CO to farm until 1957. They then moved to Denver, CO where Leona worked in retail until retirement. They both enjoyed traveling and taking cruises and spending time with their family and friends.
