Landon Bennard Maxie

Landon Bennard Maxie was born on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 10:02am to his loving parents Rachael Yerby- Taylor and Greginal Bennard Maxie at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Denver Colorado. Landon’s family was blessed with him for 4 months and 4 days, before he went to his heavenly home on June 28, 2018.

Landon is greeted in Heaven by his grandfather George Willis, and his great grandmother Mary Nilsson. Mourned on Earth by his parents Rachael Yerby-Taylor and Greginal Maxie, siblings Kamara, Jazmine, Jordan and Greyson Maxie. Grandparents, Joe Ann Maxie, Annmarie Taylor, Buster and Karen Yerby, great grandparents Gene and Margo Yerby, Ruby Graham, his aunts and uncles: Mary Taylor, Jessica Reed, Philip Yerby, Laura Moran, Frida Flowers, Reginald Willis, Laqreshia Maxie, Stewart Willis, DeCourtney Morgan, Casey Morgan, and Andrea Morgan Berry, with a special regard for the aunts of his heart Bethany Schmoker and Patricia Romero as well as many great aunts and uncles, cousins and so many dear friends.

Landon was an angel before he entered this world and left just the same. His family will cherish the memories and blessings they received during his short time on this earth. We will hold his smile as close as he did his mom’s shirt when she tried to lay him down for a nap. We will hold those special moments of Greyson stealing his bottle and Jordan using him as an arm rest while playing Mine Craft on the PS4. He will live in our hearts forever and never forgotten. We will carry his spirit in every step and breath we take. Landon you are our little mean peanut boy and we will miss you until they day we are blessed enough to see you again.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for Teddy Bears to be donated to local law enforcement and St. Jude’s hospital. Each bear will have a message of comfort from Landon to be given to a child who is in pain or suffered tragedy.

Memorial service Saturday, July 7, 2018, 2pm at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery, Tower Of Memories Chapel, 7777 W. 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Reception to follow.
