Karen S. Jensen, age 73, passed away July 14, 2015 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Karen was born in Laramie, Wyoming on September 6, 1941 to the late Lawrence and Dohreen Stoffers. She attended school in Ogden, Utah and spent her working life serving others as a registered nurse, a legal nurse consultant, and working with special needs children. She married R. Blanco and later divorced. Together they had two children.
In 1976, Karen met and married her soulmate and best friend, her gentle giant Kent Jensen, who cared for Karen for many years.
Karen enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, watching and discussing sports, quilting, gardening, history, and reading.
Karen is survived by her husband Kent Jensen, two loving children Lori (Pete) Carter and Michael Blanco, and her sister Sherry (Allen) Hall.
She received happiness and love from her grandchildren: Kaitlyn Rianne Carter, Lindsay Nicole Carter, Michael G. (Megan) Blanco Jr., Amber Blanco, and great granddaughter Jerilyn Blanco.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 4-6:00 P.M. at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. Funeral service will be Monday, July 20, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace.
