Joseph Andres Martinez, 19, of Colorado, entered heaven March 24, 2024. He was born in Denver on August 25, 2004. He attended and graduated from Thornton High School in 2022, where he was a member of the Future Forward Bollman program, and the varsity soccer team his freshman year. He was employed by Wayne Electric Company and enrolled in their apprenticeship program.
Joseph is survived by his parents Jessica Almanza and Adrian Gomez and his brother Anthony Gomez. Furthermore, he leaves behind two maternal grandparents, Andrea and Jaime, as well as one paternal grandmother, Sherry Martinez. He is also survived by cousins Aaliyah, Serena, Mia, Maxx, Mila, Giannina and Luca and several aunts and uncles as well as his girlfriend, Melanie Hernandez.
His interests included playing video games, soccer at the Rocky Mountain Indoor, and playing basketball with his friends. He enjoyed spending time in Mexico and traveling with his family. He was a member of Saint Cajetan's Church. He was known for his charming smile and sense of humor, which we will all miss very much. He was one of the kindest persons you will ever meet, and he welcomed everyone with an open heart.
