Their family can be traced back on both sides to the early settlers of the colonies including the early colonial Governor of Connecticut, John B. Webster.
Bob died June 6th in Wheat Ridge, Colorado of complications from a recent surgery with his four children by his side.
He was the youngest of four children and the only boy. His sisters, Barbara and Dorothy preceded him in death, his oldest sister Betty Rosette still resides in Grand Junction, CO
When Bob was a child their family lived in poverty and for a time made an old railroad car their home.
The family moved to Phippsburg, Colorado in the late 30's where Bob's dad was a section foreman on the Denver and Rio Grand Western railroad.
While they lived there he met and married his high school sweetheart Rosemarie Milavec. Bob was the Captain of the basketball team and Rose was a drum majorette at Oak Creek High School.
They began their family with two boys Jeff and Bobby, two years apart. Bob loved hunting and fishing and throughout the years he took Jeff and Bobby and later his grandsons every opportunity he could.
In the late 40's they moved their little family to Denver because they couldn't find work in the mountains. They lived in the Lincoln Park Housing projects and then at Pellagreens, Apartments at Speer & Federal in Denver.
Bob made a couple more attempts to move back to the mountains he loved but the lack of work and responsibility of a growing family always brought him back to the city.
Bob and Rose were both very hard working and were able to purchase a home of their own in Wheat Ridge where their two daughters were born, Joan and Susan.
As the girls got older they became very involved in the Westernaires Equestrian Team. Bob and Rose attended all the events, trailer the girls horses around the state for events and competitions. They were actively involved for nearly 10 years where Bob served as a Posse Man.
Bob also loved square dancing and one of his favorite stories was the last time they attended a group square dance and the wig Rose was wearing got tangled up during a maneuver and yanked off her head. Bob claims he grabbed it out of the air, slapped it back on Roses head and they danced out the door, never to return.
Bob worked at Western Electric and Rose began selling Real estate. Bob could fix anything, so they began purchasing units they could fix up and rent out. Over the years they became successful landlords and were very comfortable in their twilight years having achieved the American Dream.
