John Edward Engel, better known as Eddie Engel, peacefully passed away on September 28, 2024. Eddie was born March 21, 1932, in Denver, CO. He graduated from North High School. Upon graduation, he entered the United States Marine Corps, where he served 4 years and was awarded the purple heart. He was married to Marvine Page and they lived in Oceanside, CA until the end of his military service. They eventually moved back to Denver CO.
His working career consisted of an ice route, where he delivered ice to various restaurants in the Denver and Cherry Creek area. He then was an employee in the Grounds Department of Denver Public Schools. He and his friend, Roy Lambert, started a sprinkler repair business, A-1 Sprinkler Repair. Eventually he retired from DPS.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Diamond, 2 stepchildren Gary Diamond and Tammy Diamond and their spouses, and his 5 children and their spouses; Debbie Gordon, Kathy Comminiello, Mary Kay Engel, Mark Engel and Kirk Engel together with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He lived a full wonderful life with many adventures and he will be greatly missed. We love you Dad XOXO. I love you Kato.
