He lived every day to be extremely proud of all his grandchild in everything they did and would do anything for them.
Jerry loved the outdoors, hunting anything even with his Multiple sclerosis he still thought he could ride horses and had planned to take his youngest grandson hunting this October. He was an avid fisherman who loved his old boats that barely got him back to shore most of the time, and enjoyed riding his four wheelers with his wife in his later years.
His favorite past time was sharing his passion for anything rodeo. He met his wife of 44 years while they were bull riding. He was always helping family and friends in any way he could so they could rodeo, providing many kids in high school rodeo with horses so they can compete. He also enjoyed teaching his passion for bull riding to anyone that wanted his help, including his 2 grandsons he loved taking to the practice pen and rodeos.
Jerry loved taking his daughter all over to her barrel racings even traveling as far as Jackson, Mississippi for the barrel racing finals.
After his son quit rodeo and took to racing cars Jerry jumped in to crew and he loved helping every step of the way and cheering from the stands. Then Bill went to the back seat so Jerry could help his granddaughter Emery when she got a race car of her own, Emery had called and asked for him to take her to the track. Jerry was extremely honored to help her and proud of how well she was doing.
He always bragged about all the grandkids in everything they did, Was the first to tell anyone with an ear that would listen, and sometimes tell you even if you didn’t want to listen. He loved listening to Ayla play her guitar and always made him laugh as she was a spit fire like him. When his other granddaughter McKenzie graduated high school, you were not keeping Jerry from not being at the Graduation!
Jerry was a good friend to so many in his life. If you needed anything Jerry was there to help no matter how bad he hurt.
Jerry left this world with his boots on, as the cowboy he was.
