My sincerest sympathy is sent to the Ariki family. Even though it has been too many years to even count, I will always remember the kind and gentle smile that Janice shared with me.

Love you mom! I miss you more then ever!!

Jamie & Jeremy...I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother/mother-in-law. Jamie, you have shown what a wonderful daughter you are. It shows in every picture and thought you have posted. I am sure your mom was very happy to have you with her during this tough time. I cannot imagine your pain right now but she will always be watching over you. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Peace be with you.

Janice was my first grade teacher at Devinny Elementary School back in the late 90's...she was such a great teacher and I will miss her!

Geneva Glen is stricken with sadness at the loss of Jan.  She is a member of a good, loving, and valued family and will be missed.  But she is also born and raised within a huge Geneva Glen “camp family” and she touched many lives, made and maintained good friendships for many years, and reflected the values and qualities that were influences in forming her character.  That reflection was enlarged by her two children, Jason and Jamie, who also experienced and added their love and presence to the Geneva Glen family.  On behalf of this extended family, we send our love and support to Curtis, to her mother Mary, her brother David, to her children Jason and Jamie, the members of those families and all the members of the Ariki circle.

Janice you were my neighbor for 8 years and always there when I needed you.  You were the best neighbor a person could ask for.  You will truly be missed.  My grandaughter Becca was very upset and we all miss you.  I love you neighbor.

Sweet Janice. You always had the biggest smile and most wonderful hugs! You were an amazing teacher and friend. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to get to know you. I worked with Janice at 
sportmans warehouse. We laughed all day long, she had a devilish side to her, and i loved her soo much. I will miss her tremindiously. Jancie i love you.

My girls Amanda (16) and Sharon (12) had Janice as a teacher for 3 years.  Amanda was part of her class the year that Mrs. Schmidt looped from 1 to 2nd grade.  She was the best teacher my children have ever had!  She was so caring and supportive.  We were concerned when we heard that Amanda had gotten Mrs. Schmidt, because she was not reading and we were told that she expected all of her students to be reading.  To our dismay we soon discovered that she would be an excellent teacher and she was the perfect fit and teacher for Amanda.  Amanda is a junior in high school and Mrs. Schmidt's efforts and teaching have paid off she is an honor student taking 3 advanced placement classes.  Thanks to Mrs. Schmidt for all she did for my two girls.  We are sadden to not have Mrs. Schmidt as part of our lives anymore, she will be greatly missed by our family.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time.
