James Solano, 53, Arvada, Colorado, formerly of Chazy, NY, passed away suddenly on November 24, 2020. He was born in Bourne, Massachusetts (Otis Air Force Base) on April 3, 1967 the son of Beverly and Michael Solano.
Jim graduated from Chazy Central Rural School in 1985 and SUNY Plattsburgh in 1990. He also studied wine chemistry in Napa, CA. He worked in the wine industry for many decades from Plattsburgh, NY to Napa, CA, to Denver, CO.
Jim loved playing his guitar, soccer, traveling and exploring historical sites,and most of all anything and everything about wine. You could not have a conversation with him without wine coming up and his dream winery. He was an avid fan of sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, Notre Dame football, Syracuse University basketball, Boston Red Sox, and the Montreal Canadians. He was a passionate critic of all sports commentators.
He is predeceased by his father, mother and grandparents.
He is survived by his siblings, Connie (Oscar) Best, Chris (Scott) Herman, Joe (Elena) Solano, nephews Corey (Elaine) Trombley, C.Max (Jada) Best, Hunter Riley, niece Maria Castro, great-nephew Avery Best, his loving Aunt Shirley Raney, many cousins, aunt and uncle.
