Henry C. “Bud” Simpson, born April 9, 1932, Broken Bow, OK. Grew up in Doris California and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Korean war. He was stationed at Wahiawa, HI, Skaggs Island, CA, Bremerhaven,
Germany, Camp Fuchinobe, Japan and Retired at NSA, Ft. Meade, Maryland. He served aboard the USS Belmont (AGTR-4, Plank Owner).He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. After he retired he continued working in private industries supporting the Federal Government.
He was a member of the U.S. Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association from 1984, serving on the Board of Directors, as Vice President, President and NCVA Executive Director.
Married to his childhood sweetheart of 72 years, Doris E. Krouse who passed away in 2022. He is survived by his two children, Lynn and Gary, two granddaughters, Crystal and Mary, six great grandsons, one great-great grandson, his sister Kay and his brother Bill.
