Helen was born on September 22, 1921 in Denver, CO to Benjamin and June David. She attended Jefferson County schools, graduating from Wheat Ridge High School in 1939. Helen attended Emily Griffith Business School. She married John A. Nelson on June 9, 1943. They were married for forty years until his death in 1983. Helen worked as a legal secretary for many years, retiring in 1987.
Helen is survived by her brother Don David (94) - three children ~ Cheryl Jean (Randy) Fehr, Jack D. (Kathy) and Linda L. (Wayne) Bishop – six grandchildren ~ Corey Fehr, Laura and Scott (Dana) Nelson, Eric (Charlotte), Kyle and Troy Bishop and three great grandchildren ~ MaryEmma Fehr, Abbigale and Sebastian Bishop. Preceding Helen in death were her husband, John (Jack) and two brothers Denver (Jack) and Harold David.
