heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die:
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to break down, and a time to build up:
A time to weep, and a time to laugh:
A time to mourn and a time to dance:
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under
heaven.
Helen looked at life as an opportunity to live out her Christian faith and was a fully committed marriage partner to her husband Jim. She fulfilled her life through helping him fulfill his and in the process enhancing their marriage and their lives. If she was needed to take on additional responsibilities she would. She supported his actions always, and provided input when she felt he was going astray. She supported her children, always making the lesson it’s not about me but about life. Her careers as a Teacher and a Geriatric Social Worker allowed her additional opportunities to live her faith. She always stepped up to make whatever the situation was-- better. She took the conditions of life she was handed, grabbed them and worked on making things better. Even late in life, when the hand dealt was full and illness and challenges for both she worked with her caregivers to make the best of life.
Mom passed away peacefully November 18, 2016.
Christ gave us the promise of eternal life. Helen believed in Christ who said in my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
The family had a private memorial service.
