Helen Miriam Cooper was born June 25, 1915 in Bridgeport, IL. She was the only child of Wm. Franklin and Mary Jane (Jennie) Cooper. She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, William Woods College (Fulton, MO), and the University of Illinois (1936). She was a high school English teacher and an Accompanist at Lawrenceville (IL) Township High School 1936 - 1946. She married Robert Byron Bell July 19, 1941 in Bridgeport. She was a 59-yr. member of the PEO sorority, and had been an active member of the Amer. Assoc. of University Women. She was an accomplished pianist and organist. She enjoyed playing bridge and doing needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by three sons Robert, Richard (Mary) and Rodger (Cathy), six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her family thanks the staffs at Atria Inn of Lakewood and Suncrest Hospice for their care and support.
