Harold Lee Kahre, age 73, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on Tuesday August 27, 2019. Harold was born November 5, 1945 in Denver, Colorado to Lenard and Marjorie Kahre. He attended school at Lutheran High School in Denver, Colorado. Harold owned and operated a trucking and transportation company with his father and continued to work in the trucking industry for his entire career. He hauled lumber, cattle, beer and various food products to and from Denver, Colorado to destinations such as Texas, Wyoming, California & Missouri.
Harold is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda M. Kahre; his son, Robert Kahre and his wife Nicole Kahre; his grandsons, Kyle Kahre and Brandon Kahre, his loyal companion Milo and many, many close friends.
Harold was a car enthusiast and loved working on cars and trucks throughout his entire life. He had many hobbies over the years including, dirt biking, shooting, watching NASCAR and Indy car racing, road-trips to the mountains, raising/riding horses, and training his furry friends. Harold’s greatest joy was his family. He loved watching his grandkids play sports, having a cup of coffee with his loving wife Linda and walking his dog Milo.
Harold touched many people’s lives during his 73 years; from his co-workers and friends in the trucking industry, to the parents and coaches on the sidelines of the many football games he proudly attended as he cheered on his grandsons.
A memorial service will occur Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. A reception will follow on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
