in 1990 retired from US West as Director of Advertising and Public Relations. In retirement he taught public relations at Colorado State University for 5 years. George was President of the Seattle and Denver Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America. The student chapter of Public Relations Society at the Universityof Idaho is named the George M.
Fowler PRSSA Chapter. He was on the Executive Board of the Seattle and Denver Boy Scouts and volunteered as Public Relations Director for the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Farragut, ID. George was an avid fly-fisherman, fly-tier, Photoshop
artist and golfer. He leaves his wife Eleanor, two sons, Bob (Nancy), Bill (Katie); three grandchildren, Tiffany, Will and Kit along with a sister Martha (Jim) Bruggeman.
