Gene was born in Cheverly, MD and moved to Colorado with his parents at the age of 3. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Edgewater CO in 1965 and went on to attend Northeastern Junior College. He worked for many companies as an Expeditor/Purchaser for most of his life. He married the love of his life, Diane, in 1997 and gained 2 kids he dearly loved also. Gene loved motorcycles, muzzle loading, archery, jewelry making and most of all his family and friends. Gene carried a unique spirit and anyone who met him instantly fell in love with his character. He had a passion for history and he gave many lessons to anyone who would listen. In 2015 he was diagnosed with cancer. In 2016 Gene was blessed to gain another family member, Hannah who was his RDN, Registered Dog Nurse. Gene was a true warrior and fought that battle in his own way. He passed away at home surrounded with his loving family.
Gene is survived by his wife Diane, son Jimmy Olson and daughter Janice Oman.
Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Maye and brother, Ron.
