Gene Brienza, 73, of Denver was born March 1st, 1949 to Jerry Brienza and Anna (Smaldone) Brienza. He was raised in North Denver and graduated from Mapleton High School. Gene was a firefighter for 20 years, retiring in 1991. He continued working for another 25 years for Rocky Flats, teaching classes of Hazardous Materials at Front Range Community College; Sportsmans Warehouse Gun counter; along with the State of Colorado as a Deputy Water Commissioner on Clear Creek.
Husband of Ruth Brienza, father of Gene Brienza II, Giovanni (Dayna) Brienza and Annemarie Brienza, grandfather of Julianna and Gene Brienza III, Aria and Caprina Brienza, Dalton Pacetti (Brianna) and Colton Brienza, and great-grandfather of Avery, Emma, and Harper Pacetti. He was also the brother of Roxeen Brienza and Jerrianne Parrish-Brienza (deceased) and brother in law of Ken Parrish.
