Eric attended Adams 12 Five Star Schools and graduated in 2015. He went on to become a meticulous HVAC technician.
He enjoyed working with tools, woodworking, painting, building things, and cars.
Eric is survived by his father, Trent (Laurel) Bates of Arden, North Carolina; mother, Kathryn Sears of Grand Forks, North Dakota; sister, Cassandra; brothers, Andrew and Benjamin; girlfriend, Celestina Long and family of Northglenn; grandmother, Linda Bates of Westminster; grandparents, Edward and Barbara Sears of Grand Forks, North Dakota; great-grandmother, Frances Neighbors, of Denver; an aunt, Vickie Volts and her son, Travis, of Denver; as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins, one stepbrother and two stepsisters. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William L. Bates in 2020.
Eric will be missed for his tenderhearted personality and kindness. His final act of kindness and generosity was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
