Married to Dr. Duane Elmer Butterfield (deceased, 1988).
Eleanor loved to sing and was a long time member of the Colorado Chorale as well as the Emmanuel United Methodist church choir. She also worked with the Brico Symphony. She played both violin and piano. She was also an avid reader.
She worked as a chemist until Gregg was born in 1955 when she became a housewife until her children reached college age when she earned a Associates degree as a Medical technician. She worked for Dart Labs and then National Jewish Hospital.
