Donald William Williamson, aged 72, of Littleton, Colorado went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was a remarkable man of integrity, honor and faith. He was born December 29, 1948 in Trinidad, Colorado to parents Melvin Williamson and Ruth Williamson. His siblings are Melvin T Williamson, and Helen Eppinger. He went to Trinidad High School followed by Trinidad State Junior College and Metro State University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. Along the way he fell in love with the love of his life, Rachel, on a trip to Northern Ireland, and shortly after they married on June 19, 1976. He was a lover of technology and as a skilled people manager, became the Vice President of Information Technology of the Colorado Community College System where he worked until his retirement nearly 40 years later. He loved fishing (especially with his wife & grandson), golfing, camping and hiking - and was an avid Broncos football fan, unless they weren’t playing well that day, which happened far more frequently than he would have liked! One of his favorite things to do was to take road trips and vacations with his family to locations near and far all over the world. He was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord and was an Overseer and Pastor of the Churches of God in Littleton and Trinidad - and his devotion to his faith showed in his commitment to serving others with his unending generosity and kindness. He particularly loved sharing the Gospel with young people and became affectionately known as “Camp Daddy” at the annual summer church camp in Southern Colorado where he volunteered for over 30 years. He was as giving in death as he was in life; he was an organ and tissue donor and his gifts will go on to help others for years to come. He is survived by his wife Rachel Williamson; his daughter Sharon Nelms; his son Jeffrey Williamson; and his son in-law Matthew Nelms. He has one grandson, Lukas Nelms who he adored and played with at every moment he had.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
- 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV
