Our dad left this world on December 23, 2017 at the age of 91. He was born on the Pine Ridge Reservation in White River, South Dakota on January 26, 1926 to Arthur Robert Trickler and Florence Marie (Persons) Trickler. He was one of 6 children born to this family.
His family moved to Colorado when Dewight was 9 years old, where he has resided ever since.
Dewight attended North High School through the 11th grade when he was drafted into the Army in 1943. He served in the 65th Division of Patton’s 3rd Army during World War II. He was a proud Purple Heart recipient. He was wounded while crossing the Rhine River from France into Germany. His unit also liberated the Dacheu Jewish concentration camp.
He married the love of his life Rose Elizabeth Boh on June 22, 1946 and they have been happily married for over 71 years.

Our dad worked various jobs through his life, from baker to maintenance. He finally retired in 1991 from Jerry’s Nut House where he had been one of the head nuts for 34 years.
A viewing and rosary will be held on January 3, 2018 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary.
Viewing will start at 6 PM Rosary will begin at 7 PM.
Dewight’s service will be held at Holy Family Church on January 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM
He will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery directly after the Church service.
