Today is another one of those hard days, Grandma. We normally would be getting ready to go to your house for your Good Friday feast. You had a way of bringing everyone together. I miss you so much. I'm gonna try to make your traditions carry on but I'm sure my cooking won't compare to yours. You were amazing at everything. I will always love you. Miss you soooooooooo much.

I know you are surrounded by roses and having a feast with the angels for your birthday, but I still wanted to say " Happy Birthday and I love you lots"

The laughter fun time jokes. When I stay over with you. You always had a smile on your face. Grandma ,you will always be in my heart and memories. I remember every time I seen you. You would smile so big and say there's my Travis. Kathy's says you were flirting with me. I don't know about that, but I do know I loved spending time with you,joking with you,hugging you and of course listening to all your wonderfull stories. I have so many great memories of you gramma.  Some of my favorites are our Friday night poker games, you were definitely a card shark, waiting for us to raise and then you slyly beat us in the end.  I remember when Ryan and I got engaged and came to tell you, You said to Ryan "good, now I don't have to cut you."  That's when I knew he was in your heart.  We are so blessed to have had you in our lives for so long.  I love you gramma.

Since the day i met u 5 years ago i never ever called u by just Caroline. You were Grandma to me, the grandma i never had you welcomed me with open arms and a smile on ur face! You house was not just an ordinary house it was a home a place i could go and feel comfortable :) i remember picking u up from bingo on Sunday afternoons and everytime you would ask me if i have taken Jay to go ride the pony In the gen-x parking lot. And my response would always be not yet granny... You would alway then try and hand me 5 dollars and tell me "Here you take him to ride, i know he would like them" well from here on out every time i pass bye there i will be sure both Jess and Jay to ride those pony's... Thank you for always smiling and please hug my baby Julianna tight and give her tons of kisses for us!!! Miss you bunches and love you lots!

I was so happy to become a part of your family, and to have you. You reminded me so much of my own grandparents that I lost so long ago.  I loved just listening to your stories and visiting your house. You gave the best hugs. I remember most the call I got from you after my mom died. It was just what I needed. Aunt Carolina, I haven't seen you since I was much younger, but what I do know is that you have a big warm sweet gentle heart. I miss my Big gg. she was the greatest grandmother anyone can ask for. she was the sweetest and funniest person to be around. I love spending time at Barry Bingo with my GG. gambling and hearing her many stories to us kids. Even about how she met my grandpa, now you can be with him and nana resting in peace. watching over all your kids grandkids great grandkids etc. you were the one who kept the family together. she was always happy and wanting to cook for us. I can't even express how much I am going to miss my grandma.  Anyone who knows me, knows that words do not usually elude me, but I am still speechless at this moment.  My grandma taught me so much and it is because of her advice that I am the woman that I am today.  It was her that told me to enjoy my youth and not marry young.  It was my grandma, the mother of 10 that told me it was ok to not want children but she knew that I would change my mind because I was a natural mother, and she was right.  It was her that told me it was ok to have a different faith and to hold on tight to it and not let go.  It was my grandma I called when I was joyous and it was my grandma I called when I had tears.  I am so grateful to have had her for so many years and only hope to be as wise a woman as her and offer the same sound advice as she did.  Grandma, you will be greatly missed.  You were the epitome of unconditional love and I hope to become a fraction of the woman you were.  This world was a much better place because it had you in it.  I love you, until we meet again.

My Granny was put here on earth to be the best wife,mother,granny there is and that she sure accomplished with high standards she never let any of us down and always was there in every way even if it was a dollar slipped into your hand or a phone call to say where have you been Marcellllllaaaaa (I know all of you said it like her) you could always call her to light the candles when something was not going right for you and she sure lit those candles and would call you every hour to see if everything is ok you would go to her house and give her a hug say hi and then go straight to her fridge even if you just ate you still went and looked in the fridge and never once in all my ummm 36 years has her fridge been empty!! what a blessing now who's fridge am I going to look in? she was the light in our family and the glue she took the place of my dad when he went home with the Lord and I will forever thank her for that I will cherish our trips together and all her stories of her growing up in New Mexico I can go on and on of how blessed I am to have her in my life and all of the things she has done for me and how much she meant to me but I would be typing for eternity that's how much of a saint she is to me and she will always be to me I love you Granny forever!!!!!

Mrs. Madrid, you were the best Mother in Law anyone could ever ask for.  I love you so much.  Thank you for everything you taught me.  I remember how I would run across the Street when I first had Caroline because I was so afraid to bathe her, being a young Mom.  You would take right over until about the third time you made me do it myself so I could learn, as you stood right by and guided me.  I learned how to cook from you.  You were the best Grandmother to my Children and Grandchildren as everyone can attest to that by how your home was always so full of people.  Your holidays were always the best.  No matter how I tried, I could never master your macaroni's or you potato salad.  Believe me, I tried. When I try to describe my grandma, words rush to my mouth like, (compassionate, loving, caring, mentor, etc.), but honestly grandma exceeded all these words. She was so much more. Grandma was also my security blanket. I could go to her for advice and love, I would lay my head on her lap and know everything was going to be ok. Grandma was well known for never saying "goodbye" when she hung up the phone, but now I have to say the hardest "goodbye" ever to one of the most important people in my life. I love you grandma more than words can express. Rest in peace and be everyone's guardian angel from heaven as you were here on earth for us.
