Carol was a woman of generous spirit, kind heart, and steadfast independence. Born in Denver, Colorado, on December 24, 1938, she grew up and raised her family in her hometown, living a life of faith and love of family. A 1957 graduate of Denver North High School, she spent a career working in the local banking industry. After retirement, Carol found joy in volunteering at hospitals and schools, playing mahjong with friends, working in her garden, and cuddling with family pets. Called “Nama” by her grandchildren (and by many others), she was a devoted grandmother and her grandkids were her pride and joy. A lifelong student of the Christian faith, Carol attended a variety of churches and was a current member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Westminster. Carol especially enjoyed sharing her faith and fellowship in Bible study groups, in which she met many wonderful friends.
Carol is survived by her three children, Louise (Randy) Reavis, Kathy (Steve) Eiser, Art (Jenn) Larkin; three grandchildren, Natalie (Brian) Corn, Ryan Angell, and Mason Larkin; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Esther (Unruh) Williams; infant son Arthur Larkin III; and siblings Ruby Kennedy, George Williams, and Marguerite Barnett.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 18, 2023, at 11:00 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Westminster, 7990 Lowell Boulevard. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carol's life. A private burial service will be conducted at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to First Southern Baptist Church of Westminster (www.fsbcw.org/online_giving).
The family would like to thank her many friends for their love and support over the years as well as her kind and compassionate caregivers with Abode Hospice.
