Carl Miller, age 75, died on November 25, 2021. Carl is a Michigan native who moved to Colorado, where he met the love of his life Pattie. He worked as a Lakewood Police Officer and a Security Branch Manager, before receiving a heart transplant in 2001. After he recovered from the transplant, Carl dedicated his time to UCHealth's Patient and Family Centered Care organization until he retired in 2016.
Carl was a dog lover and sports enthusiast, and loved spending time with his family and children. He is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Scharf of Denver, and his son, Cory Miller of Arvada. He is also survived by his sister Carol Pniewski, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Gladys and his wife Pattie.
A private service will take place with family only for Carl. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to Donor Alliance, an organization Carl volunteered with and who supported his passion for saving lives through organ donation.
