I would come see you at your shop just to talk with you.
You where always so encouraging to me, and always made me fell better.

I am so sorry that I didn't make his funeral. I knew that if I did show up I was going to not be able to keep it together. I heard someone call it "ugly cry". Because I loved and admired Bruce so much.
I know one day I get to see him again, and boy I can't wait!
I miss you Bruce!

There are friends and then acquaintances;  I am truly glad to call Bruce my friend. 
Bruce was always composed, even in laughter, and it seemed to suit him perfectly.
The memorial strongly suggested a faith in Jesus, and that is a great comfort.

Bruce and I, also, share a PMEL connection that goes far beyond that. He was my mentor. Most of all, he and Sue were my friends. I will miss Bruce but it can't compare to the loss felt by his family. My sadness extends to them and I send my most heartfelt condolences.

What can I say about a man I spent nearly every working day with for 10 years.  He was a friend, a confidant, a boss who treated me more like a partner.  We shared the same military backgrounds, a mere 4 years apart.  Every day with Bruce was special, because he was special.  We were a team, electronics our passion, and we wanted nothing more than to be the best and most honest, reliable, repair shop in the Denver area.  PMEL brought us together, and the unfortunate lean times of the 80's forced us to separate.  Bruce is a part of me, and I know that part is some of the best of who I am today.  Miss you boss, miss you my friend.

I  knew Bruce as a young child in Turkey when he was in the military with my dad, Gerrit Kuiken. He spent a lot of time a our home, and was like an adopted Uncle. I always remember him as a kind and caring person who took the time to interact with his co-worker's kid, telling jokes, bringing treats etc. So sorry for your loss, and will be keeping your family in my prayers.

Sue - As you already are aware - I had great admiration for Bruce, especially his military dedication and commitment, and all we (military peers) who were privileged to know him and work with him, loved him in brotherly love.  Bruce was always mature/wise beyond his years, and when he did speak, it was worthwhile hearing.  He was a joy to be around - RIP - as always, old friend -

Susan,
I had this song sung at Mom's funeral and find it appropriate in Bruce's case.  I think it's called "Take Me Home, Precious Lord" and a few of the words are, "I am weak, I am tired, I am worn..."  As challenging as the past 5 years were for all of you, perhaps Bruce understood those words more than any of us.  You're all in our thoughts & prayers.

How wonderful that Bruce is in Heaven with Jesus, his savior.  It's not goodbye just so long.  See you in the morning

Susan, Brian & Kimberly:  I have just learned from Walt of Bruce's passing.  I am so sorry to hear of this sad news.  From our childhood, we had some wonderful, fond memories when the 3 Havener boys spent the summer breaks at our home.  I will keep you in my prayers, and hope you find peace.
