Bill was raised in Sioux City, Iowa, as an only child. He entered the Navy in January 1951 and actively served until December of 1954. In September of 1955, Bill married his best friend, Berta. They had three sons and he took an active role in their lives, participating with them in their school and sports activities and taking them on many family camping trips. He also spent time involved in his own activities, including skiing, bowling and softball, while developing his 30 year career in sales for Coors Porcelain. He travelled while working at Coors and his tenure there sent him for a time to Maryland and Pittsburgh, then to Denver, where he chose to make his permanent residence. Bill was an avid golfer; loving the game so much he chose to work as a starter at Raccoon Creek Golf Course after his retirement. He was a true sports fan, especially loyal to University of Iowa and Iowa State.
Never one to act his age, Bill lived an interesting and varied life. He had an uncanny ability to develop friendships that were both genuine and long lasting. He was truly a gentleman and a kind-hearted good friend to many. It was at Coors that Bill acquired a group of friends who he still socialized with on a regular basis. Although his health issues affected his mobility he continued to remain in touch with those friends, living life with enthusiastic joy and good nature.
Bill is survived by his three sons, David, Matthew and Mark, and many friends including Joyce Meinecke and Randy and Jane Hay. He was pre-deceased by his former wife, Berta and parents, Henry William Voth, Sr. and Sadie Agnes Voth.
