Loving wife of 57 years of Dr. Leo J. Nolan. Caring and devoted mother of Susan (Gary) Spaw, Sandi Nolan and Michael (Stephanie) Nolan, grandmother to Nicole (John) Hallenbeck, Michael Nolan, Christopher Carver, Leesa Carver, Zachary Spaw, and Tyler Spaw, great grandmother to, Nolan and Louis, sister to Wanda Lee, and Barbara Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lucille Church, brother Carl Church, Jr., and her grandmother, Mary Siebenaller.
Early in life Betty Jane was a secretary to a general in the Air Force, then a medical office manager, and ran St. Anthony Hospital's (St. Anthony Central) gift shop for a number of years.
Betty enjoyed being a model, playing golf, bingo and bridge. She loved decorating and hosting parties. She and Leo traveled the world together, seeing different cultures and meeting new people. They began their life together in Breckenridge Colorado then moved to Denver where they lived for 35 years. Followed by moves to Colorado Springs, Cincinnati, Ohio and finally retiring in Las Vegas, Nevada for the last 15 years.
Betty will be missed by all who loved her. Her smile laughter and caring nature touched many lives while here on this earth. She in now reunited with her loved ones who have passed before her. No doubt giving thoughts on re-decorating and adding her special touches to the pearly gates.
Memorial services will be held this Friday, January 18, 2013, 3:00pm in the Chapel of Peace located on the grounds of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
