Barbara Fern Cook went home to be with her heavenly father on December 21, 2018. She was born on January 7, 1936 to George Clinton and Evelyn Angie Cook in Salina, Kansas. Barbara was a member of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers & Grain Millers Union for 30 years. Barbara loved working. She started at a young age working as a soda jerk. She also worked at Bright McGill, a fishing and tackle shop. She eventually started working with bakeries, and worked for Rainbow Bread, and King Soopers bakery where she retired from in 1998. She was a member of the Potawatomi tribe. She enjoyed movies, fishing, and gambling. She also enjoyed spoiling and caring for her family. She was one of 12 children. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, George and Evelyn; her sisters, Georgia, Arlene, Penny; and her brother, Darryl. She is survived by her son, Boo, and many cats through the years. She is also survived by her sisters, Vera, Frances, Frieda, Cathy, and Margie, and her brothers, Sam and Jack, as well as many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nephews and nieces.
