Dear Grams,
Welcome home!  I am selfish in my grief, but I know you are full of joy.  I was remembering you this morning, the perfect blend of feisty and faithful, always so ready to laugh.  It made me think about the ways in which our lives intertwine, so much that they can never separate.  You taught David and I to be friends, to learn and play together, to trust each other.  You taught me not to fear the dark because you were always just a phone call away.  Most importantly, you taught us how to love deeply and fully.  How to connect to God through our relationships with others.  You and Gramps were the perfect model in teaching us how to interact with the ones we love.  So steadfast and kind.  So protective and gentle.  Thank you for the music and for teaching me that patience is our key virtue.  You have left a legacy here.  I see it in the kindness and gentle nature of my cousins, in the strength in Gramps, in the devotion of your girls.  We are better people because you live in us, and while I trust that you and God are dancing and singing, you are always also in my heart.   Kristina

I worked with Arlene at Sears for many years, we were good friends and would meet for lunch even after we both left Sears,  She will be greatly missed .My thoughts and prayers to her family

My, Anita and Maurice's, Arlene, are joyfully sharing memories and waiting for the rest of us to join them in Glory!  Our two families were always so close and loved sharing times together.  Part of our Salvation's reward is knowing that the best is always ahead for believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.  We do sorrow but not as those who have no hope.

Aunt Arlene is ONE OF THE BEST things about my childhood!  She and Uncle Maurice, my mother and father would laugh for hours playing the game of Life, talking about current affairs...  we spent every holiday together, giggling with our girl cousins, Marcia and Debbie, while Jerry graciously tolerated the five girls...  I want to be there with you all, celebrating her precious life.  She challenged my thinking on more than one occasion in profound ways that have affected my life.  I loved her deeply.  She helped care for my oldest newborn daughter, Karen, as we moved back to Denver in 1975 for seminary.  During her first three years, Karen grew to love "Mose a' Aleeen" as much as I had as a child, and it felt so SAFE leaving her with them from time to time!  Because of Jesus, I picture her in heaven now, giggling with my mother, waiting for the rest of the family to arrive, a little amused that they got to go there first!  I wish I could be with you at the funeral... but cannot... so, each of you, hug my sisters a little tighter for me, please, and know it is me hugging you back.  Love to you all!  Rhonda

Aunt Arlene was such a woman of joy and always so kind! I will always remember her laughing with the other aunts at family reunions. My thoughts and prayers are with you all! Love, Judy

Aunt Arlene was a second Mom to me,while I was growing up, here in Denver. She was full of joy and fun! My strongest and happiest childhood memories include her VERY distinct laugh!  Along with my Mom, Anita, & all the other wives of Maurice's brothers, LAUGHTER seasoned their conversations and all of our visits to the family farm, and Bubeck Reunions.  
Aunt Arlene's life was marked by her love for her Lord, her family, and all of us.  I'm grateful she is with my Mom, and others of the family, with her Lord Jesus, and seeing him in all His GLORY (John 17:24)!

Arlene was my big sister who basically raised me while mom and dad were out in the field harvesting crops on our farm in Iowa.  One of our best memories was when she and Maurice helped build our house in Ohio.  She was a tender and loving person.  We will miss her and her contagious giggle.  Bob and Nadine

Our mother will be truly missed.  We were all blessed to have her and we will all miss her dearly.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She loved all of us unconditionally.  She gave us so much of herself and we learned to be better people spiritually.  Family was everything to her as she was to us.  We love you Mom.

Aunt Arlene's godly life made the world a sweeter, more joyful place, indeed. 
Our family loved her.  How many times we savored beautiful meals around her table and Uncle Maurice's we cannot count. They were always served with joy, grace, and generosity. How we will miss her quick laughter and kind, encouraging words.  Our daughter, Sarah, treasures the memories of her growing up years of going to Aunt Arlene's.  What a blessing she was to us, and countless others, in so many ways. She is definitely heaven's gain and our loss!  With love & sympathy, George & Kathy Abbas
