Annette Towne (Lucas) age 83, of Arvada, CO, passed away on April 10, 2024. She is survived by her husband Gordan, her sister Jeanette Brown, and her children Reneé Towne, Yvonne (Bruce) Nuffer, Ashley (Juston) Silvers, and Christopher (Chisselle)Towne as well as many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Annette was born to Earl and Carmoletta (Cunninghman) Lucas on July 26, 1940 in Miltonville, KS. She was the second of four children, and spent her early years growing up in St. Joseph, MO where her father pastored the local United Bretheren congregation.
She spent the majority of her life in Arvada where her priority was living as a disciple of Christ whose purpose was to share the love of God with everyone. Annette may have had some struggles, but lived life to the fullest. She loved spending time with her church family as well as her large community of friends and her grandchildren. Annette would do anything for her loved ones and enjoyed caring for her disabled younger brother throughout his life . She never met a stranger, and made everyone who knew her laugh, cry, and clap at all the stories she shared. Anyone who ever met Annette knows of her legendary hugs and kisses (and the subsequent lipstick stains), her easy laugh, and her extensive garden and greenhouse. She was known as a kind, generous, loving woman who gave love unconditionally to all who entered her sphere.
Our family is grateful to know that Annette is finally at peace and out of pain. Services will be held at Lakewood Church of the Nazarene on April 18th at 10 AM. All are welcome.
Annette, we love you to the moon and back, forever and ever!
