Nora was a bright light to anyone who was near her. Her presence in a room was always noticed and laughter followed her wherever she went. Nora was witty and often greeted her loved ones with a new joke or a funny story to tell. She could always be found with her fuzzy slippers on and a red rose tea in her hand. She had a passion for music and would embrace any opportunity to sing with her son Dwayne and other family members and friends. She also enjoyed playing her Friday night and Boxing Day cards.
Nora loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, even if she couldn’t always remember their names. She was always there for family road trips, birthdays, sporting events, theme parks, and was always the life of the party. For many of her grandchildren she was known for her countless backrubs, classic bedtime snacks, trips to Foodland and singing karaoke. Nora also spent a lot of her time with her sisters and loved her many road trips with Juanita to Yarmouth and Digby. Nora would tell you herself that they were better known as “The Golden Girls”.
The family will be having A Celebration of Nora’s Life on Thursday, November 17th, 2022 at 2pm in the Calvary Baptist Church in Plympton. Pastor Corning will officiate the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jaynes Funeral Home, Digby. Share a memory or leave an online condolence to www.jaynesweymouth.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of TNR Yarmouth, where Nora got her beloved cat Charlie.
