After retiring from the CAF after 33 years of service Pete loved to volunteer for the community, he was the past president of the Royal Canadian Legion branch no. 67, Zone 11 Commander his last command was District D Commander. Pete was a member of the Lions Club, Clare Curling Club, Nova Scotia Curling Association (Special Olympics) and St. Joseph’s Church.
Pete will be remembered of being a volunteer for the community. There was no task too small.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Comeau; son, Sacha Manfred Comeau; sisters, Lisa Comeau, Carmen Comeau; brothers, Edwin Comeau, Alain (Joan) Comeau and several nieces and nephews, Laura Fuller, Ace Fuller, Jennifer Kelly, Robert Comeau, Albert Fuller and Andrew Fuller.
Funeral service will be held at the St. Joseph’s Church in Weymouth on Monday, February 7 at 11am, Father Raymond presiding, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Following Public Health regulations proof of full vaccination or letter of exception is required to attend the service and burial, masks are required. Limited capacity as per Covid restrictions.
Donations in memory of Pete may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Transplant Clinic, Dickson Building at the QE2 Halifax Health Center.
