Donna L. Hersey

Hersey, Donna L. age 64, of Weymouth Falls, Digby Co. passed away October 1, 2010 in the Digby General Hospital. Born September 9, 1946, in Weymouth Falls, she was a daughter of Dorothy Hersey, Yarmouth and the late Bernard Amero. Donna loved gardening and baking. She was the happiest when she was filling the bellies of her grandchildren and guests. Donna was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #67 Weymouth. Surviving is her husband Weldon Francis, daughters Peggy (Bob Armstrong) McCullough, Cornwallis, Anna.Co. ; Connie (David) Hobson Waterville, Kings Co.; Colleen (Ron McKenzie) Schofield, Coldbrook; sons Gordon McCullough and Tim McCullough both of Waterville; sisters and brothers T. John (Violet) Amero, Nevins (Gladys) Amero, Keith (Neat) Amero all of Weaver Settlement; Howard (Debbie) Amero , Cape Breton; Vicki Gaudet, Ohio, Digby Co.; Linda Amero, Edmonton; Tommy (Vanessa) Amero, Digby; Thelma (John) Henderickson, Calgary; Gary Amero and Ernie (Linda) Amero both of Weymouth; Johnny (Carol) Amero, Grande Prarire, AB.; Richard Amero, Fort McMurray, AB; Heather (Tony) Muswagon; Toby (Lisa) Amero , Berwick; grandchildren Delores, Logan, Miranda, Jessica, Sarah, Tamara, Stephanie. She was predeceased by Sister Shirley (Harris) Mullen, Weaver Settlement.

Visitation 2- 4 & 7- 9 Monday in Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth North. Funeral service 11:00 am Tuesday at the Southville Church of Christ, Pastor Trevor Sansom presiding. Interment in the Southville Cemetery. Donations in Donna’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the VON.
