Dixon Durwood Mullen

He was a son of the late Austin Edison Mullen and Dorothy Jean Mullen. He is survived by a brother, Blair (Janice) Mullen of Havelock, Nova Scotia; sister Maureen (Dr. Patrick) Potter of London, Ontario; Six nieces, five nephews, seven great nephews and three great nieces. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Brian D. Mullen.

Dixon lived a full life from start to finish. He touched the lives of many people along the way. In his younger years he did some travelling, and worked on his father’s mink ranch for many years. He loved to socialize, talking to people and telling stories to anyone that would listen.

He loved reading, the book he knew the best was his bible, he went to bible study at Tideview Terrace, and from what I am told he straightened them out a few times. He was a funny and loving person, he will be missed by many. He was involved with everything at Tideview Terrace, activities, crafting, you name it he was there and he would say “Janice the only thing I am not doing is quilting” we laughed about that often. The staff at Tideview Terrace made sure he was involved, for that we thank you.

He loved listening to music, and every now and then he participated in the singing. He loved playing cards and watching TV. The things he mostly watched was hockey, his favorite team was Montreal and he made sure everyone knew it. The staff at Tideview Terrace teased him about that and he loved it.

The family would like to thank Dr. Black and the staff of Tideview Terrace for the care they provided for Dixon. It is greatly appreciated. So, in saying all of this it makes us happy to know he left a piece of his heart with us all, you will be missed. Cremation has taken place under the care of Jaynes Funeral, Weymouth.
