Mullen, David Cereno – Age 84 of Weaver Settlement. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather on April 12, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Havelock, he was a son of the late Loren and Susie (Brittain) Mullen. He was the last surviving member of his family. Early in his life, David had his log truck and worked hard to provide for his family. He worked at Stan Hatt’s store in Weymouth and Weymouth Motors for many years and enjoyed racing snowmobiles. After retirement he enjoyed golf, hunting, spending time at Ebby’s camp each fall, working around the house or working on a vehicle and he played a mean game of washers. He loved being with his family and always put them first. David is survived by his wife, Ethel (Hersey); children, Patricia (Andy), Jimmy (Sharon), Wesley (Cathy), Randy (Lorena), Kelly, Kevin (Louise); 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughters, Cathy, Darlene; son, Colin; brothers, George, Charlie, Sydney, Stanley in infancy; sisters, Emmaline and Annie. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9, Sunday, April 16th at Jayne’s Funeral Home, 5114, Hwy 1, Weymouth North with Funeral Service at 2pm, Monday April 17th from Southville Church of Christ followed by interment in the parish cemetery. Mr. Lou Outhouse presiding. I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.
