Barb lived in Sudbury with her husband, Curtis for many years moving to Weymouth Falls in 1975. She was independent and enjoying looking after things around the home; she was a great gardener and farmer. Barb took part in her community and was a member of St. Matthews Anglican Church and the Ladies Auxiliary, Weymouth Branch #67.In her later years she raised turkeys and king hens. Barb loved music, flowers and being outdoors.
When she was no longer able to get out, she enjoyed conversations on the phone with family and friends.Barb is survived by her brother, Hubert Johnson; sister, Freda Farmer; nieces and nephews, Marvin, Celia, Kerry, Anita, Glenn, Perry, Marc, Corrine, Rodney and Corey. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Curtis Francis; sister, Katherine Byard; brother, Wendall at age 2; sister in-law, Greta Johnson; brother in-laws, Archibald “Buzz” Farmer and Thorlen “Tip” Byard. Visitation will be 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm Wednesday on April 18 at Jayne’s Funeral Home in Weymouth North, #5114, Hwy 1 (902-245-2525) also where the service will be at 2pm, Thursday April 19, Rev. Laura McCue will preside. Interment in St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery, Weymouth Falls.
