Ms. Angela Dawn Melanson

Melanson, Angela Dawn was born on August 19, 1975. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved Angela has risen to the sky with her trademark butterflies. Angela was born in Halifax and resided there for most of her adult life. Angela passed away in Doucetteville at her family home on June 15, 2010. Her valiant battle against cancer was fought with the courage of a warrior. Her mantra toward treatment was “Get-R-Done”. Her positive attitude and zest for living life to the fullest was contagious. Angela thoroughly enjoyed travelling and having fun with family and friends. Her easy smile will forever be in our memories. Angela is survived by her Mom & Dad; Lorena & Eddie Melanson, her brother, Derrick (Natasha), her maternal grandparents, Fred and Flora Thibault and paternal grandmother, Grace Melanson; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Angela was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Edward (Ted) Melanson. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Father Keith Billard presiding. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Doucetteville.In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Nova Scotia Division.
