Russell Wesley Moe

Russell Wesley Moe of Weyburn, SK passed away at the age of 72 on Thursday, October 6, 2022 in Regina, SK with his family by his side.

He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Olga Moe; brother Dennis Moe; parents-in-law Raymond and Flo Van De Sype; brother-in-law Alvin Van De Sype and sisters-in-law Jeannine Van De Sype and Kay Van De Sype.

Russ will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Donna Moe; son Garrett (Danielle) Moe and their family Charlotte and Veda; son Brandon Moe; brother Willis (Arlaine) Moe; brothers-in-law Gary Van De Sype and Dave (Judy) Van De Sype; sisters-in-law Linda Moe and Marie (Garnet) Wipf; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Russell was born in Weyburn, SK and graduated from Weyburn Collegiate in 1971. Shortly after graduation he began his 30 year career with the Sask Wheat Pool, followed by 18 years with the Southeast Cornerstone School Division.

He held a deep love for his two little grand-daughters Charlotte and Veda, typically starting each day with his morning coffee and looking at pictures of them on his phone.

Russ thoroughly enjoyed his time spent riding his motorcycle with friends. He also took pride in being very involved with the yearly Salvation Army Toy Run. His most recent found passions included woodturning and James Patterson novels.

The Celebration of Life for Russell was held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch, 150 3rd Street NE, Weyburn, SK. Interment followed in Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, SK.
